Houston Habitat for Humanity

Houston Habitat for Humanity is the local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Established in 1987, Houston Habitat has built more than 840 homes and served more than 2,800 Houstonians. Houston Habitat has over 5,000 volunteers that help out annually with home building, clerical work and retail.

The Situation: The Houston Habitat board was sponsoring "Friends of Habitat," a breakfast fundraiser where the board was asked to invite friends and colleagues to learn about and support Houston Habitat. Cake was engaged to design an invitation and coordinating poster to promote the event.

The Solution: Cake created a contemporary, construction-based visual design that was simple yet elegant, incorporating a foil-stamped logo on the invitation cover and bright imagery on the interior. The design was then translated into a poster template that could be customized with different messages and imagery based on Habitat's existing "Did You Know?" campaign, with the goal of highlighting unique facts about Habitat for Humanity.
